Convention Essentials

- Wherever you go, carry your Program Book and Transportation Guide with you to find times and locations for workshops, names of speakers at plenary sessions, maps of the Convention Center, and shuttle bus routes and schedules.
- Badges must be worn for admittance to all convention events and areas, including the House of Friendship.
- Sergeants-at-arms-easily identified by their red armbands-are available to answer questions and guide Rotarians.
- For medical assistance, alert a sergeant-at-arms or go to the first aid office in the House of Friendship in Building 7. For emergency situations, ambulances will be on call at the plenary hall (Palau Sant Jordi) and at the Fira de Barcelona.
- All plenary sessions and other meetings will be conducted in English. Simultaneous interpretation at the plenary session will be offered in French, Japanese, and Spanish, transmitted over FM radio frequencies. Personal radio receivers will be available for a nominal fee at the Simultaneous Interpretation Booth at the entrance to the plenary hall in the Palau San Jordi just prior to and during the plenary sessions, and at two other locations listed in the Program Book. Also check your Program Book to identify the workshops and other meetings at which simultaneous interpretation is available.
- Participants can check their e-mail and access the Internet at the Cyber Café in the House of Friendship in Building 7 at the Fira de Barcelona.
- Find out who is registered for the convention by checking the directory of participants at the Information Booth in Building 7 and the Registration Area in the Building 6.
